Privacy

Built to Collect as Little as Possible

Resource Radar keeps collection narrow and transparent. Here is exactly what that means.

Minimal by default

No name, files, browsing activity, or computer activity are collected. Reply email is used only if added to a support report. Toolbar and collected data stay minimal and useful.

Anonymous heartbeat

Windows profile values are sent at most daily to estimate active anonymous users: random hardware-independent ID, identity creation time, app/version, build, distribution, OS/version and timestamp.

Opt-in diagnostics

Reports are sent only when you choose to. Values are reduced to safe categories; credentials, tokens, file contents, and raw identifiers are never included.

Your AI tokens stay out of our servers

Claude usage is read with your local Claude credentials. Codex quota is read through the local Codex app-server rate-limits path. Tokens never reach Resource Radar servers.

Is Resource Radar really free?
Yes — completely free for personal and commercial use, with no ads, no license fee, subscription, trial period or feature paywall, and zero hidden costs ever.
Is it safe to download?
Yes. It ships as a portable Windows executable, contains no ads or bundled software, and does not collect activity data. You can verify the download with its SHA-256 hash above.
Does it need administrator rights?
Direct hardware temperature sensors can require administrator privileges, depending on hardware and drivers. CPU, GPU, RAM, network, disk and AI usage work without elevation.
What values can the toolbar show?
Resource Radar can show CPU, GPU, RAM, network and disk activity, CPU and GPU temperatures, and Claude and Codex 5h and 7d quota with reset times. You choose which boxes are visible and how they appear.
Do I need to install .NET?
No. The required runtime is included, so there is nothing extra to download or install. Everything ships inside the single portable file, so no additional frameworks or components are ever fetched.
How does the Claude and Codex usage tracking work?
Resource Radar reads Claude usage with your local Claude credentials and reads Codex quota through the local Codex app-server rate-limits path. Your tokens are never transmitted to Resource Radar servers.
